    The best peach desserts

My sweet friends, it is already August.  This means our summer days with peaches are limited.

I'm not ready to part with my daily snack of a fresh peach.  I look forward to the ripe, juicy peach in my lunchbox each day.  When I get home from work and smell the peaches ripening on the counter, I can't help myself to another.

Let's celebrate the last few weeks of summer with a peach dessert every day!

First, let's drink our peaches.  With booze.  (Like you didn't see that coming!)

    Boozy-Sweet-Tea

    Boozy Sweet Tea
A batch of Southern sweet tea with peach moonshine stirred in.  Get to sippin' on this one.

    Peach-Jalapeno-Margaritas-2

    Fresh Peach Jalapeño Margaritas
Let's say you need some spice with your peaches...and some tequila.  No judgement from me.

    Peach Chai Froyo Shake DessertForTwo.com

    Peach Chai Fro-yo Shake
This peach shake doesn't have booze in it...yet.  Try adding rum; you'll thank me.

Let's move onto the cooked peach.  The peach that's been dipped in sugar, topped with cream, and covered in frosting is never a bad idea.

    Drunken Peach Bars - DessertForTwo.com

    Drunken Peach Bars
Hey, I never said that baked peaches were going to be alcohol-free.  My best friend Esther makes this dessert all the time.  Now, if I could only get her husband to share with me!  You can hardly separate a man and his bourbon-soaked peaches.

Ginger Peach Cupcakes, small batch. - DessertForTwo.com

    Ginger Peach Cupcakes
One of the most delicious cupcakes on this site:  spicy, sweet and creamy.

    Cheesecake with Honeyed Peachesfinalsmall

    Mini Cheesecake with Honey-ed Peaches
I marinated fresh peaches in honey instead of cooking them.  The results were delicious, especially on top of a mini cheesecake for two.

Peaches and Cream for two | DessertForTwo.com

    Brûléed Peaches 'n Cream
A new take on your favorite dessert.  This recipe involves a blow-torch.  You know it's going to be good.

    Grilled peaches with Frangelico sauce.

Grilled Peaches with Frangelico Syrup and Homemade Cinnamon Ice Cream
I think I was really trying to impress you with this dessert.  It must have worked, since you're reading this now.

    Mini-Peach-Pies

    Two-Bite Peach Pies
I tucked spiced peaches into muffin cups lined with pie dough.  The results were delicious.

    TexasPeachCobblerfinalforsite

    Texas Peach Cobbler
This is the only recipe you'll ever need for peach cobbler.  Really.

    PeachRaspberryPiefinalsmall

Fresh Peach and Raspberry Mini Pie
I made this mini pie for you in the early days of dessert for two.  My photography skills were lacking, but my taste buds were not.  Raspberries love peaches.

Now, you are fully prepared to savor the rest of peach season.  Enjoy!

Oh, such an array of deliciousness here! I'm thinking those peach bars with a shot or two of whiskey in them sound right up my alley :)

So much peachy goodness! Like you, I'm sad to see peach season coming to a close. I'm hoping we get a few peaches from our CSA this week so that I can try these out -- I'm particularly eager to try the Ginger Peach Cupcakes. Yum!

I really need to get some peaches from the farmers market! The only problem with peaches is they need to be eaten up very quickly before they go bad, so I need to be sure to only buy what I need (which I seem to have difficulty doing).

I hear regularly from Momma Swope how sad she'll be when she doesn't get her peach on her cereal every morning anymore. Love us some peaches!
