Homemade brioche burger buns, small batch style! Recipe makes just 4 burger buns.

Scald milk. Remove from heat, then add water. Stir and let sit. Stir in yeast and sugar. Let mixture bloom. Stir in butter and egg. Add liquid ingredients in a mini stand mixer and beat.

In a bowl, whisk together both flours with salt and sugar. While the mixer is running, add dry ingredients. Knead. Place dough in an oiled bowl. Toss to coat. Let rise.

Divide dough into balls. Place on a baking sheet and let rise.

Make topping. Brush on each bun. Bake.
