Small batch recipe that makes 4 perfect flaky scones!

Stir 1 1/4 c. flour, 1/4 c. sugar, 1/4 t. salt, 1/4 t. baking soda, & 1 t. baking powder. Add 4 T. butter. Next, add 1/3 cup + 2 T. heavy cream & egg yolk & whisk.

Add the chocolate chips & stir lightly to combine. Scoop the dough out, place it on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper & form a circle.

Slice the dough circle into 4 even pieces. Brush each piece with extra heavy cream all over.

Bake for 13-15 minutes at 400° F.
