CORNBREAD

DRESSING

If you need just one new recipe this Thanksgiving, my Southern Cornbread Dressing is it. This is the only dressing recipe my family has ever made!

In a bowl, whisk together cornmeal, flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. In a measuring cup, beat eggs into the buttermilk and add to the dry ingredients. Stir. Stir in melted butter.

1

Divide batter between the muffin cups. Bake and let cool.

2

In a bowl, crumble cornbread muffins. Dice bread and add to the bowl. Stir in salt and spices. In a saucepan, add celery, onion, water, and butter. Saute.

3

Pour the liquid over the cornbread and bread cubes. Stir. Stir in chicken broth. Beat eggs into milk and add into bowl. Stir. Pour into a pan. Bake and let cool.
