One dozen cranberry orange cookies with cranberry glaze.
Start by soaking the cranberries in fresh orange juice. Drain and reserve the juice.
Beat together the butter, brown sugar, granulated sugar, and orange zest. Beat in the egg yolk next, followed by the flour, oats, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
Stir in the drained cranberries. Divide the dough into balls and place them on a baking sheet. Then, bake and let cool.
Whisk together some of the reserved orange juice with powdered sugar. Drizzle on top of each cookie and serve.
