6 chocolate sandwich cookies 1/4 cup granulated sugar 3 TBSP cocoa powder 1 1/2 TBSP cornstarch 1 cup milk 1/2 tSP vanilla extract 1 TBSP butter 4 gummy worms


Crush chocolate sandwich cookies in a plastic bag, or use a food processor. Set the crumbs aside.

In a microwave-safe bowl, whisk together sugar, cocoa powder, and cornstarch. Mix very well to break up clumps. Slowly stream in milk to the cornstarch mixture while whisking constantly.

Microwave mixture for 2 min. Stop, stir, and microwave again for 1 min. Repeat for another 1 min cycle, or until the pudding is thick and shiny.

Strain pudding mix by pushing through a sieve into a bowl for storage. Be sure to scrape underside of the sieve to get it all out. Finally, stir in the vanilla extract and butter until it melts.

Press a piece of plastic wrap directly on the surface of the pudding. Chill the pudding for at least 4 hours.

To serve: Layer 1/4 of crushed cookies in the bottom of a small serving jar. Top with 1/4 of chocolate pudding. Repeat with other 1/4 of cookies and pudding. Push a few gummy worms in. Repeat.
