Instant Pot Applesauce
Ingredients 2 1/2 pounds fresh apples (mix variety) Juice of 1/2 a lemon 1 cinnamon stick big pinch of pink salt 1/4 cup water 1 small red beet (optional) honey (to taste, optional)
Remove apple cores and chop into quarters. Place in pot, squeeze lemon juice on top, and add cinnamon stick, salt and water. Stir making sure cinnamon is near the bottom of the pot.
Place lid on Instant Pot. Press HIGH PRESSURE button, and toggle timer to 5 minutes. Pot will beep and begin coming up to pressure.
Once timer is up, let the Instant Pot naturally release pressure. Remove cinnamon stick, and either puree in a blender or use an immersion blender to puree it right in the pot.
