Rye Bread

from scratch

Homemade rye bread made without yeast.

Sift the flour, baking soda, and salt. Make a well in the center and pour in all of the buttermilk. Stir just until a dough forms.

Knead the dough and press it into a flat disk. Sprinkle the top with some all-purpose flour.

Make 4 deep slashes into the dough.

Bake and let cool.
