Start by making the dough.
Make the apple filling next. Roll out the dough, then spread the apple filling mixture over it.
Roll the dough up into a log, slice it, and place the cinnamon rolls in a buttered pan. Let them rise.
Bake. Meanwhile, make the caramel sauce. Drizzle it over the rolls, sprinkle with salt, and serve.
