Happy Thanksgiving week, y’all!  I’m hoping that Thanksgiving will turn into a week-long holiday if we start using the phrase ‘Thanksgiving Week!'  Do it with me!

Pumpkin Whoopee Pies, Pumpkin Bourbon Balls, Pumpkin Creme Brulee, Pumpkin Cheesecakes.

Pumpkin Chai Cupcakes, Pumpkin Shortbread, Pumpkin Biscotti, Pumpkin Donuts with Honey Glaze, Pumpkin Pie.

I have quite the Thanksgiving planned this year.  This is the first year I haven’t had to buy a $600 plane ticket home to visit my family, and so I’m really living it up.  Mr. Dessert For Two and I are hosting our first Thanksgiving ever!  As if that isn’t big enough, we’ve decided to use this lovely holiday full of delicious food and naps to introduce our families to each other.  My parents are driving up and his parents are flying in.  It's going to be great!

    My Thanksgiving Menu:
    Appetizers:
    Spicy & Sweet Mixed Nuts
Sopressata Bundles with pepperoncini and goat cheese
    Sourdough Pretzel Bites
    Champagne

    Entrée and Sides:
Turkey: brown sugar brined and herb-butter roasted
    Cornbread Dressing (secret family recipe!)
Mashed Sweet Potato Casserole with Marshmallows
    Corn Casserole
Salad: Romaine with Honeycrisp apples, aged cheddar chunks and honey mustard vinaigrette

    Desserts:
    Pumpkin Pie
    Pecan Pie
In case you’re having a Thanksgiving for two this year, I thought I would link up to all my pumpkin desserts.  Each of these desserts use less than a full can of pumpkin, so with your leftover pumpkin, you can make even more desserts!  Have a great holiday week!

I hope both sets of parents enjoyed their visit to Kansas and all of you enjoyed this special holiday with one another!
